La Pilande Basse

The Pilande Basse, sits with its feet in the waters of the Mousse River. It has served as a pulling mill, a thread factory, a flour and walnut oil mill, then, when the millstone stopped turning in 1966, a stone building falling into ruin. Water Paper Stone is the story of transforming that ruin back into a working mill and an artist-in-residency program.
